Black and copper
Tapa is the bark cloth of the Pacific, beaten thin and printed with bold geometric bands. In Hawaiʻi it is called kapa. This design borrows that language: rows of triangles, diamonds and leaf shapes in burnt copper on black, broken up the way stamped ink breaks up on cloth.

Charcoal-black and gold
The whole chain, Kauaʻi to Hawaiʻi Island, drawn like an old navigator’s chart. Coastlines, a compass rose and hand-lettered island names in antique gold on charcoal black, framed by the coordinates that put the islands on the map.

Deep navy and cream
Hundreds of fine lines that build into breaking swell, cream and blue on deep navy. A nod to the old woodblock wave prints, drawn for the water that surrounds every island and wraps all the way around the shirt.
